The stoat (Mustela erminea) is a small weasel native to North America, Europe and Asia. Stoats have long skinny bodies, long tails with black tips, short legs, short muzzles, round ears, and have brown fur with white undersides. Stoats turn all white in the winter and are then called ermine.
