The Southern Three-banded Armadillo (Tolypeutes tricinctus) is a species of armadillo found in South America. They, like the Brazilian three-banded armadillo, have shells on their backs and sides of their bodies, long anteater-like snouts, short round ears, long tails, short legs with long claws, and are yellow-tan in color.
