The pygmy three-toed sloth (Bradypus pygmaeus) is the smallest species of sloth. They are very similar in appearance to the brown-throated three-toed sloth, but smaller. They are found only on one island in Panama.
Diet[]
Like all other types of sloths, pygmy three-toed sloths eat mostly leaves.
Predators[]
Pygmy three-toed sloths are sometimes killed and eaten by jaguars and harpy eagles, especially when they climb down to the forest floor to defecate.
Trivia[]
Due to their restricted diets in captivity, three-toed sloths often don't survive long.
