The moose or elk, (Alces alces), is a member of the bovine family and is one of the largest and heaviest extant species in the bovine family (only gaurs and other wild cattle are bigger). Most adult male meese (and a few females too) have distinctive broad, palmate horns; Members of the deer family have antlers with a dendritic configuration.

Meese eat mostly leaves and aquatic vegetation.
Lifespan[]
Meese can live up to 30 years in the wild. Reduced to 7 years in captivity.
Predators[]
Brown bears and grey wolves often attack and kill meese.
