The Elasmotherium, also called the Siberian unicorn, is an extinct family of rhinoceroses found in Central Asia. They weighed 4 tons and stood up to 6 ft tall, and had barrel-shaped bodies, short legs, short tails, long muzzles, long singular horns, up to a meter in length, long brown fur, and wide straight mouths, similar to modern-day white rhinos.
Diet[]
Elasmotherium ate tough grass.
Lifespan[]
Elasmotherium lived up to 50 years.
Cause of Extinction[]
Elasmotherium went extinct, not because of over-hunting from cavemen, but because, when climate change killed off the grass they would eat, Elasmotherium did not adapt.
