Tarantulas are large spiders with big heads, larger abdomens, eight legs, and eight eyes with poor vision. They are native to Asia and the Americas. To defend themselves, tarantulas can throw their hairs at the predator, irritating the skin and eyes. To hunt, tarantulas don't spin webs; they wander around, looking for prey.
