Primates are medium-sized mammals that usually live in big troops with many females, babies, and one dominant sigma male. They have front-facing eyes, long limbs with 5-fingered hands, ears on the sides of their heads, wide short muzzles (baboons are an exception to this), expressional faces, most have long tails (apes have no tails, mandrills, Japanese and Barbary macaques have almost no tails, and are prehensile in New World monkeys.), and mammaries on their chests.
