Chimpanzees are apes that are native to the tropical forests and savannahs of Africa. They have brown or black fur, long strong arms, short legs, big ears, front-facing eyes, squished-up noses, sharp canine teeth, 5-fingered hands and feet, and no tails. Like the closely related gorillas, mature males can get grey fur on their backs. Unlike gorillas, however, some chimpanzees have paler pink skin. Please note:Bonobos also counts as chimpanzees due to also being called pygmy chimpanzees.
