The Brazilian porcupine is a species of porcupine found in South America. They have short, olive-green quills, 4 orange incisors on each jaw, (rear set is often removed in captivity), long legs, pink skin, long whiskers, big heads, small ears, and long prehensile tails. Porcupines are not rodents, although they used to be classified in the same family. Porcupines are currently classified as cavimorphs.
